YES Prep THRIVE was founded in 2018 and is the first Charter Disciplinary Alternative Education Program in Texas.
The THRIVE program, serving grades 6-12, is a short-term flexible academic program that flips that narrative of a traditional alternative school on its head. At YES Prep Public Schools, we believe that even when students make mistakes, they still deserve a high-quality education that is both rigorous and responsive to a student’s holistic needs. By giving students additional learning opportunities, we are ensuring that we are fulfilling YES Prep's mission of supporting ALL students.
Mission
We believe in serving ALL students. We build a safe learning environment through trusting relationships, humility, grace and space to grow. We strive to individually push students academically and socially so that they continue their journey to confidently become their highest selves and are prepared to navigate and succeed at YES Prep and in the competitive world beyond.
